Extremely busy
Weekend
Started making some centerpieces with my future in-law.
It was much harder than I thought, or not as easy as I thought to excel in it.
We spent half a day and only made one and a half. We have about 13 more to go...
But, worse come to worse we'll just have it at some of the tables and not all.
Went to Centro display center.
The floor is so NICE!! Later found out that they're actually laminate.
I now have second thought about painting the living room. Maybe I'd like to have dark floor with "white" wall in the future.

Went to check out a 2nd hand plasma TV. It's not as good as I thought. I've decided not to buy it eventho its price is not too bad. But, I either want something very good or not at all.
Work
Started working on Mon. It's so WARM at that place and SO quiet!! So comfortable!! No more wearing big jacket inside my cube and still feeling cold.
After about 11 hrs..... I successfully deployed something I had never ever heard of, BIRT, Business Intelligent Report Tool.
Still trying to figure out how to do it with build.xml and not doing it manually like a stupid person.
Joined their running group. Did 55mins of it today. We did intervals, 2 mins fast, 3 mins slow and so on. I could barely catch up, my heart not my legs..... feeling chest heavy...... so out of shape... or maybe it was because I have short legs.

Busy busy
Been very busy thinking about how to decorate my new place.
This is the latest plan.

A quick recap of last week
Last week went to Milestone. It was great! The grilled chicken salad was awesome, and so was the burger (Milestone's specialty seasoned beef burger) and the coleslaw on the side (real veggie salad with lemon vinaigrette, not just cabbage/carrots with lots of mayo).
Went to Home depot and Benjamin Moore. Didn't buy anything. There are too many to choose from.
But now I have an idea, I need:
- plastic sheet to cover the floor
- masking tape
- polyester roller cage and the roll itself, preferrable can be screwed on an extension rod
- bristle brush (donno whether or not I need foam brush yet)
- paint tray (preferrably the black larger kind that is more spill-safe)
Tried to find plumbing parts in Rona and Home Depot. Neither of them carry just the parts, they all sell the whole package including the shower head, the controller/knob and the faucet.
Finished the "Cars" DVD. It was ok.
This week
Sat. Pouring. We went to a Indonesian cultural event thing. Paid $10 each and parking $3.50 (never seen that cheap parking in UBC before).
The dance was interesting and the food was different. I hate the cendell drink, it's like drinking lukewarm (the ice in it doesn't help) sweet sauce that's meant for dipping. I don't mind the sticky rice, or the breaded roll with meat, rice noodle, and veggie inside, or the pancake layered cake with dates in it.
They also had cooking demonstration.
The first one was veggie salad (brocolli, egg...) with peanut sauce.
I tasted some of it, it's ok.
The second one was awesome, it's called avacado smoothie.
Basically it's avacado, milk, sugar, and coffee! Very very good.
It's actually just my regular coffee with a lot more sugar and replace the cream with avacado.
Met with the minister.
Told us too many details....for someone who didn't come with notebook or pen.
Saw the "default decoration" there. Not too bad. All white tho, not the pink/brown theme that I wanted....oh well nvm.
Asked us to pick songs..... which i know nothing about.
They were very busy. We got interrupted several times by someone setting up flowers for the coming wedding.
Sun went to Andrew Sherret's.
Didn't find the parts that we wanted.
They do have some cool pieces in the showroom.
Had family dinner at Gingeri.
We ordered the 8.5 lbs alaska king crab, pan fried veal steak, veggie with dried scallop.
Too much protein in one dinner...

Hectic
It's been very hectic the last couple of days.
I finally got an offer from a company that I've "known" for a while. Best of all, I even negotiated and got the number I wanted...altho I didn't get into vacation days or RRSP. But, I just didn't think it's nice to ask so many things of.
I told my boss that I'm leaving, about a 3 mth notice... more than enuf time. He's sorry to let me go as does my other coworker whom I've just made friend of for the past few mths. I'll probably have to add one more person in my invite list.
Went to Beer Burger Shack on Sat in Kits. I ordered a veggie burger it was overdone.... very disappointing. John's power burger was awesome. It had an egg in it (with runny yolk) and meat and fried onion. It's SO GOOD!
My ankle is getting better after the physio. Only had two and he told me that I shouldn't need to come back since it's not that serious anymore. I tried a couple of single axel in the gym. I could have swore that I did land a couple with complete 1.5 rotations.
We went to Rona and John bought me the CIL decoration CD. I'm now debating whether or not should I get furniture first and then try to find the wall color for them. I still donno if I should go for the beige scheme or a bold color scheme with pink and brown in it, or maybe a grey color scheme with orange and dusted rose color as accents. Arghhh so hard to decide.
We also went to Parker Place and had lunch there. John paid $5 for a lemon tea with beef brisket instant noodles. I got a coconut drink with jelly. I don't like the coconut but I like the jelly. The coconut wasn't cold enuf and tasted too much like the stuff u use for cooking.
Went to the florist and paid the $100 deposit for the bouquets and car decorations. A total of $3xx for everything, not a bad price.
Also went to Micelle's cake shop. They have really yummy cake but they don't do delivery. And, we've decided to not use them, altho they probably have the cheapest price. But, in the risk of squashed cake or dropped cake, I think it's worth paying the extra. Mom had suggested Saint Germain, it's just downstairs from where the banquet is held.
Also went to the photographer and went over the schedule. We are now having the reception at 6:00 and dinner at 7:00. And, after the ceremony we're going to UBC to take pictures.
We still have to find the wedding bands and wedding shoes.
John's mom is gonna help do the centerpieces. I'm going to help also. And, I'm going to do my own ring pillow and flower basket. But, I've searched left, right, and center and could not find that metal thing in the middle. http://us.weddingstar.com/collections/chocolate_and_strawberry/
Did driving range at Richmond Driving Range. I did good in a couple of shots but they were all wrong and all of my own creation. I almost hit the stupid bird that was out on the grass. My arms were in pain afterwards, pulled something.
