Bday weekend

It was a hush hush bday weekend for me.
Because we're releasing on Monday, I had to work during the weekends.
Worked remotely Sat and Sun morning, and came in to work during the afternoon on Sun after church.. then had to rush and leave and go to my bday/July bday family dinner.
Altogether, worked about 5 hrs on Sat and 7 hrs on Sun. Manager said I could take a couple of days off next week for the OT... but I donno.... maybe it only applies if I really did fix everything by Mon but then I didn't...

On Sat, John and I went to this fancy restaurant for my birthday, Le Crocodile.
It was so nice :D.

Before dinner, we walked around in downtown and went by H&M and the Mac store. Nothing special in H&M. It's fully packed and very long line-ups. The Mac store was pretty cool. They've got lots of display to play around with.

I've got some really nice bday gifts this year.

One really sad news. Because I was so busy during weekends, I skipped my regular water change for my goldfish tank. Just today, I heard that my fattest biggest goldfish had passed away :'(.

TV addict

Finished all 4 seasons of "Lost".
Feeling a bit empty with no good show to watch.
Started to watch "The 4400", an old show that I've seen a few of the episodes. Not as good as "Lost", or "Dexter", or "Supernatural"... but better than nothing.

Went to wedding on Sat. Both ceremony and banquet were very near to our place, so we just walked there. It's such a fun wedding. A bird flew in and stayed thru the entire ceremony.
There were quite a few speeches during the banquet. They were all very heart-felt and funny. The food was very good. I especially like that crab meatballs with cheese at the center. The cake was good too. I like the buttery cream that they used.

Managed to vacuum the whole place except one bedroom, cleaned out the countertop and ran the dishwasher, and did 2 loads of laundry. Next: bedsheets and pillows.

Ate too much crackers and nothing else for supper.. felt sick in the end
should cook that steak tonite that was defrosting in the fridge for over 2 days....

another lazy weekend

Went to Coquitlam and got my skates sharpened and my left skate re-aligned again...and almost got lost again. Missed the Schoolhouse ave, ended up having to keep going straight on Lougheed highway. There were only 3 other options ahead, either this highway, that highway, or another highway. I just chose to not do any turn and hoping that I won't end up in some other cities. Fortunately, after about 10mins, there was a street that I could turn left into.
Basically, I ended up going into those streets on the left side of the highway, went up the slope and was able go get back down into Lougheed hwy... and eventually turned right into Schoolhouse. It's such an ordeal.
The realignment wasn't too much of a hassle and it seemed to fix the problem that I was having for over 2 yrs.... now I just have to re-train my jump and other stuffs.

Still addicted to "Lost".
Watched "Number 23".
Had family dinner on Fri at parents home and Sun in Fisherman Terrace. After that big supper, me and John both got stomache.

Didn't do much housework... only a slight vacuum of the kitchen and bathroom and 1 load of laundry.

Went to Superstore. I think I'm going back to them after a long hiatus. Altho not everything is cheaper, but the majority of things are still cheaper than other places.

Went to Ladna for the BandFest. They are also having a village farmer's market event thing. Tried some free cheese sample and champagne jam on cracker. I don't know music so can't really comment on the band. Overall, I had fun.

very very busy at work
keep finding bugs here and there.... it seems like i'm working every single day....

skipped morning workout for the whole week. skating is now my only exercise.

Gas is now 148!!

Incorporating salad into our daily diet. Tried raspberry dressing and sweet onion herb dressing. I like the latter very much. John prefers the latter or no dressing at all.

Totally slacked in cleaning up this weekend. Only managed to do one load of laundry and light vacuum of the floors.
Had family supper for john's mom's bday. We had salads (greek salad and lentil salad) salmon with wild rice, and pork kebob. For dessert, small angel cake with strawberry topping.
Watched "Book of Secrets", and a few episodes of "Lost". "Book of Secrets" is average but quite entertaining.
"Lost" is getting very interesting. Its pace is a bit slow but the storyline is very good and unpredictable.
Worked remotely at home on sat and sun morning and sun nite, pass midnite....
Felt dazed this morning.. and inched out to turn left on a red light....
